The NBA Center position, once as pivotal to the game as quarterbacks in the NFL, has changed a lot over the years. The 5 spot has arguably changed more than any other position in the sport, which bodes well for us as we detail our five (but really six) fundamental somethings about our favorite Centers in NBA history. Not the best mind you, but our favorite. Trust us, our taste is impeccable! We touch on all aspects of the position as we make our choices, from unbelievable stats to game changing strategies.

In the fourth entry in our NBA positional series, Nick and Kalvin get into the thicc bois of the NBA, the Power Forwards! We discuss the past and present of the position and how it’s changed over the years. Grabbing rebounds, blocking shots, throwing down devastating dunks in games or dunk contests, and some of the most proficient trash talking you’ve ever heard, our favorite Power Forwards could do it all (except make a 3 pointer). After you listen to find out who our favorite PFs are, go back through our catalogue as for PGs, SGs, and SFs, and stay tuned for an upcoming episode on our favorite Centers.

The Super Bowl is over and it’s finally time to shift focus to the NBA season! We do this by focusing on Small Forwards, one of the most underappreciated positions in the NBA, and maybe in all of sports. As a fan of the game, we here at A Podcast About Something have some opinions on the subject, and most certainly some favorites. Versatile, lethal, and often stars of the game, it takes a lot to get appreciated at the position and there have been some who have stood head and shoulders over the rest. We nominate our favorite Small Forwards, letting you know why they’re the best and we’re right, 100% of the time! What makes KD so special? Or the likes of Lebron James? We’ll fill you in, and speaking of LBJ stick around till the end for our thoughts on one of the most explosive and diligent athletes of all time.

These are unique times we live in, and out of necessity, we as a society have had to adapt, including the players in the NBA and the organization as a whole. The NBA Bubble is just that, an adaptation by the NBA to protect the bottom line and Kalvin and Nick are here to talk all about it! With a shortened season and mainlined playoff system, tensions are high, and with contempt for the bubble growing we wanted to find out if it has all even been worth it, where it stands among other major sports bubbles, who the darlings (and the dunces) of the bubble have been, and how the rest of the season will play out. We also predict who will win the ‘chip!
The 2020 NBA season is currently suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that won’t stop Kalvin and Nick from diving deep into the most fickle NBA position and some of stars who played it. We take a look at each of our top 5 (subjective) shooting guards throughout NBA history. We discuss who they are and why we love watching them play. Whether it be for exhilarating highlight reels, trying to emulate them with our own game, or straight up reinventing what it meant to be a shooting guard in the league, there’s a player for everyone to love in this episode.
